Here is some fan art I did for a neat little novel by Bren Macdibble called How to Bee. It’s published by Allen and Unwin.
This was some practice with ink and nib line work. I think it worked out ok.
This is some art I did to add a little extra to a review for Shorty’s Bar in Canberra. It is of their famous deep-fried Golden Gaytime dessert.
And here is the fan-art version of that dessert, inspired by a character on one of their walls.
These pieces took about 3-4 hours from pencil sketch to full colour.
My portfolio is here and I am on Twitter at @OMearaShauna
This is a piece of art I did for an upcoming convention. This is going to be the top of a set of promotional bookmarks.
The convention will be a celebration of the darker elements of fairytale, with emphasis on those stories told by The Brothers Grimm. As such, I went with a darker tone to this piece. It is basically a treasure trove of Grimm story paraphernalia being destroyed by a version of one of their more famous creations: Snow White.
Since I love the heck out of Jamie Hewlett’s comic series, Tank Girl, I have imbued this Snow White with some of that character’s brash irreverence. Hope you like it.
